It’s a stellar documentary which contrast the lives of the desperate thousand migrants from Africa and the Middle East landing  on the shore of the Sicilian island of Lampedusa with the everyday existence of the locals.   The title refers to a wartime Sicilian song, how the flames lit up the night: Che fuoco a mare che c’è stasera (“What fire at sea there is tonight”).
